Fiery Explosions in Photoshop
I'm currently riveted to the SF Web Comic 'Crimson Dark', written and drawn (both beautifully) by David Simon.
But it doesn't stop there! He makes you tube turorials of the methods he uses. This is the one for making fiery explosions in photoshop. The general technique looks like it will be very useful to drop into mapping with various modifications etc. Tutorial Here
