So, I have changed some of the colors and the thresholds... I feel it looks more... dark.
So, in my campaign, the characters have been fighting through a man-made cave (courtesy of donjon.bin.sh/4e/dungeon). Well, it is about time that I took the design into my own hands. This is my first battle map created with GIMP and as the "tag" suggests, this is my first round. More to come as I fill in more details.
So, I have changed some of the colors and the thresholds... I feel it looks more... dark.
Not bad. However, (a) the hallway's and rooms in a dungeon map are where all the action is, and hence a map ought to highlight these areas. That said, the texture on the walls is a bit busy and distracts the eye away from the central event; (b) the floor tiles are a bit on the dark side. Otherwise, not too shabby.
