    Wip The Bridge district

    Hi guys,
Here is an illustration and map done for the next issue of a french magazine.

It had to be B/W (lucky me, I'm so bad with colours) and I tried to keep it as much "readable" as possible.
I know many of you are a lot more experienced than at that stuff so if you have any ideas to improve them, go ahead.

It's still a wip because i'd like to tweak some little things here and there and possibly add your feedback
I'll also add the parchment BG and a frame later on.

Any comment welcome of course, don't hold the leash

    Thanks,
It's for Casus Belli, the one and only
    the Issue #7 I believe

From the 1st issue, they've revamped the old school "Batisses et Artifices" section. The bridge is about the 3rd map i've done for them and they are more to come. Stay tuned

Very nice ! The style rminds me of Viollet le Duc's works. Any influence ?

I actually do own a copy of the huge book of "Medieval encyclopedia" and Viollet Le Duc has always been an inspiration. I wish I could draw like him though
    Well spotted

I have it too, and a numeric version of his two multi-volume (31 I think) encyclopaedias (found free on archive.org), hence the spotting ! I advice you also his book on "how to draw" and "how to build a house", found on the same website.
