My attempt to make an outpost.
My attempt to make an outpost.
I'm intrigued by the blue light coming from the covered tower.
If the radiance of a thousand suns was to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...I am become Death, the Shatterer of worlds.

SimCity 1400! Wicked!

It looks great!
Wouldn't those buttresses aid someone trying to climb over the wall?
Thanks guys!
I think the picture itself doesn't need much more improvement. Next step will be adding a legend and description of the outpost. I think about a design similar to an old schoolbook or information paper.
@ Map Vandal: good objection. As the outpost is from a magic-using environment I will assign some defense/structural improvement attribute to the buttresses. But even if this would not the case, I think the angle is quite steep, I'm not sure if this would be useful for climbing up the wall.
i dig it... very sweet looking map. but i wonder about doors to the tower and the other structure. do people enter from the one visible door and they are connected from the interior? or are there doors we do not see?
great style though...
There is indeed only one entry - better for defense. The buildings are only connected in the interior by thick doors. The most important part with the thickest walls is the signal tower, containing the lumina-crystals for visual communication with neighbouring outposts and garrisons.
Great work Sapiento,
I love it. I agree that given the probable scale that those buttresses wouldn't help anyone scale the walls . . . well, maybe a ninja.
