    Default OPDC entry

I really wanted to enter this contest this year, but I've got so many new bits of software on my plate to learn...anyway, threw together a 2 hour special entry this evening. It's not great, but it's an entry!

I used one of the slum textures I put up on the elements subforum.

Looks sharp to me. If you had more time, having the streets conform to the texture a bit would improve it I think. Nice one!

Cheers guys. Yep, the streets not conforming to the texture is the most glaring 'horror' about this map!!

Those streets were really beginning to annoy me, so I redid them, and gave the map a proper border. It's looking respectable now!

Works for me now. Very nice! Agreed, the streets do look a lot better this way. Are the top and bottom borders slightly offset by design?

Oh, loved you portfolio BTW and much respect for the Steel Remains involvement. (OT)

Hmm... for some reason the link to the larger image is throwing an invalid thingummy... the thumbnail certainly looks good.
