My name is Ted and I've drawn and been interested in maps for as long as I can remember.

My largest project was living room sized and was made up of countless 2'x3' sheets of hex graph paper. It never was finished because I ran out of blue highlighters.

Over the years, I've drawn a lot of maps by hand (D&D will do that to you) and tried various software programs, including Photoshop.

My proudest map is something I created for my fantasy series. I wanted it to have an old-world style feel and it took about 40-50 hour to complete. The final size is 16"x22" in size.

My goal is to create more images like that for other sections of my world as I write more novels. (That living room sized map ended up contributing a lot to the design of my current world.)

I am also experimenting with ink and dip pens on various types of paper. It will be far less forgiving than working in Photoshop, but I think it will a lot of fun
