Refined style there. Welcome.
I'm Rick, or 'Guardnacho', if you prefer user names. I am a long-time tabletop RPGamer and amateur cartographer. I do my work almost exclusively in CorelDRAW 3X (13). I know that puts me in a very small group here. However, I hope to get more great ideas (I already got a few). Of particular interest is learning new methods to draw mountains.
A sample of my work is here: http://guardnacho.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d1qvy9p
Have Fun,
Refined style there. Welcome.

I gave you a favorite on that one. It takes gumption to make a map in Corel Draw! Welcome to the guild.

Thank you for the welcome, everyone. And Wow, 2 people from Michigan! I remember the internet days when I got excited contacting people on another continent. How times have changed.
Have Fun,
Belated welcome and you're not alone. I use Corel Draw 15x, funny that I've noticed a lot more people using Corel joined in the last few months. I'm pretty much new here myself, but have been making maps on/off again for a few years now.
