This sounds like a video game in the making! LOL
My entry will be more isometric experimentation using my wacom and limited art skills. On one side of the map will be the ice cream truck. On the other will be 3 screaming kids. The truck will have to maneuver through the city streets, avoiding fallen logs, cats, pot holes, maybe swing by the gas station... and whatever else makes it way into the streets.
I'm going to take a picture of my 3 kids, then warp it down, and cartoonize them. They are following the map, and helped with the theme. (the first choice was mermaids along the ocean floor, navigating through sea life and a sunken ship - but that's too big for me in a month.)
So with some heavy hitters entering this month, it will push me to better develop my artistic skills, which is all I want in the end. A fun map wouldn't hurt either

The kids are involved big time with this map, so it's leaning towards cartoonland. It's definitely a new style for me, but fun!
The city is taking shape...
Wow, I am really liking this style! Its making me want to do a cartoonish map. Looking great so far!

I also like the style. It's very fresh and different, I love the clean-ness of it.
