No, they won't do that unless there is something strange happening. If there is a place where the land is below sea level, you might wind up with a tidal island, but not a river.

    Okay, thanks Midgardsormr (sp?).

Then I will simply scrap that map and make a new one
Note to self: You should know your stuff when makin maps. /note

If you're interested in gaining more knowledge on how terrain works, Expeditious Retreat Press released a very useful guide for free:

btw, yes, you spelled it right! If you prefer, though, just abbreviate the name to "Mid."

Okay, Mid it is then! [although the only problem with the name is the ending, as Midgard is pretty easy to remember...]

Thanks for the guide, I will surely take a look!

Trouble is, if you shorten it to Midgard it becomes a place-name rather than a mythical beast. I've not met too many people named after places that I wanted to spend a lot of time around. But "Mid" describes me perfectly: average in almost every respect.

XRP's other freebie, the City Guide, is very good, too. http://www.yourgamesnow.com/index.ph...&products_id=2

    Thanks again
I know that the name Midgard refers to a place, but not the part about Midgardsormr being a mythical beast (gotta look it up soon).
Gotta look at the city guide, too
