    That's water with a lot of algae and plants in it, a sort of canal. It has now been widened further to allow for the storage of excess rainwater and make it supposedly more eco-friendly. That area is supposed to be a park, but unfortunately the Dutch interpretation of a park is usually limited to some grass and a canal.

    Of course, to keep it in treasure map style, it could of course have been the fossile of a giant snake...
