I don't think I am going to get finished today (I just started this morning and didn't see the deadline till now) but wanted to share anyway. Thanks and I hope to get some more of the points of interest up before the work closes for the challenge!

(I'm working on my battle-mapping so thought I would take this a different direction)

I agree with ThomasR, great idea! One thing for sure about these challenges is that everyone comes up with such unique ideas on how to complete the them. Good luck getting something relatively complete for the judging.

Welcome to the challenge Baron Sarin. Now that is really taking this in a different direction.
My first advice, lose the grid. Yes, people who play certain RPGs want a grid, but for an art / mapping competition it is not helping. If you really feel the need for a grid either make a gridless version for the challenge and a gridded version for to post for anyone who wants it, or fade the grid so it is not so distracting.
Other than the grid, the map is looking great.
