Welcome Aboard!
Hi everyone, I've been into drawing maps for my games for many years but have been lacking the skill and tools to do that with a computer. Now I think I will go through some tutorials before transfering my old drawings to digital form.
Hopefully the learning curve is not too steep
Already tried doing a continent with PS and it went quite well

love the nick! You're from Finland! For some reason, everyone I've ever met on the internet who has been from that country is utterly brilliant at what they do when it comes to computers.
- Aces High (WW2 flying sim): best squadron: Finnish..the Poles were not far behind.
- Call of Duty: best guild/squad: Finnish.
- Even on the CG two of our best mappers are Finnish (out of a guild population of thousands...come to think of it, I think they are the only two Finnish people in the guild).
I think it must be the long nights there, you guys are just computer geniuses.
Looking forward to seeing you continue the tradition of maintaining the very high bar!
Tee-hee Well here's the latest attempt of a map. This one is actually an attempt to create some nice large inland seas. There are also some past rpg maps that I'm going to do in PS so I will need practice in moving mountains and hills to their proper places. At least this is much better than my first attempt on the tutorial on creating a continent.
Hey, and welcome to the Guild!
I love the map's colours - I do wonder what happened to the poor continent, though, to get that banged up.
I had an inspiration from the Ages Old game Sim Earth where you could do major terraforming with asteroids and such so I gave that a try here.
