Well, that's kinda working well (isn't it?), so thanks!

Yes though I kind of like the orange and you can probably have some similar level of contrast with a darker and more saturated orange maybe.

I'm proud i inspire you to realise such a cool project dude, a city with the size of LA, that's big stuff
If you still have vector format of your roads i suggest that you use a round cap to your stroke, i think it improves a bit the aesthetic of crossroads

Holy s...! Reading your suggestion, I was just thinking "anyhow, I won't be able to do that in PSP7". And I just found it... So a very big thank to force me to discover my software
The sad part is that I didn't kept the vector format. But I think I'll redraw the freeways (in purple) with that option anyway!

And a bit more... Three quarters of the final map size on this one. I probably won't be able to apply the round cap except for the new parts of the map (on freeways and railroads).

Impressive! A big undertaking.
Thanks RedKettle. It's taking a lot of time, indeed.
I'm actually working on the upper-right quarter... And I'll have just a ton of labels and informations to put when the map will be done, so, it's far from being close to a finish!
And a bit more with the upper right quarter. Working on the last quarter now.

I hope I'll be able to finish this map (at least the base map without labels, legend, town & counties borders...) before my holidays.
Still working on the last quarter. Here's a bit more.
