Ready for today. Mountains still need some detail work. But so far I'm happy with the result.
@jfrazierjr
You are right. But actually I prefer the flat 2D-Look.

Yeah, very nice.
If the radiance of a thousand suns was to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...I am become Death, the Shatterer of worlds.

A first attempt for the trees.

This is quite nice, though my eyes tend to see the light colored areas as the land rather than the sea...

Dig the forests, maybe a few more trees but not too many. This is really more art than map so I dig it a lot.

I really like the unique style that you are developing here Quabbe. Course you've always done killer work so I'm not surprised.

When I have finished what I have in mind, you shouldn't have any troubles to distinguish the land from the sea. Even when the land is full of banners, labels, borders and crests. Well, at least I hope so.
But yet I'm not sure if I will leave the color as it is. A dark blue might fit aswell. We will see.
Yep, I'm going to add some more trees, especially between the mountains. So that the woods look like as they grow out from between the mountains.
Thank you!
This is excellent work, man. I love the pastels/watercolor look of it.
oooooooooooooh. awesome work so far, i really like the direction it's heading. *definitely* snagging for my inspirationfolder.
