Nice looking map, I like the icons. However I think it would be better if the trees were lit from the side as the mountains are. The swamp symbols appear not to be clearly lit from any direction but I think that is fine, it gives an overcast look.
That is most excellent so far. Those are some of the best hand-drawn icons I've ever seen.

Hi!
JammyMatt_v14..jpg
It's been a while since i updated this as have been quite busy recently, but found some time to add some abit more to the map so thought would post up a new version. It's in a really rough state at the moment, as i'm not very consistant with which bits i work on. So there's loads of dodgy thickness coastline, half finished forests, un-named things, draft ideas etc, but hopefully it gives you an idea of where it's going. Have dropped the parchment background for the moment as it needs changing quite alot now that the outlines have changed abit. Also, must thank Coyotemax and his awesome Untitled Campaign Map for the idea of adding fields, as it's really helped to fill some of the gaps around the towns, thanks!
@JamesMcCann You're right about the tree shading. I'm currently re-drawing the trees abit, but will be adding abit of light and shade to them at some point, in line with the mountains.
Cheers,
Jam
Lookin awesome so far, very nice.

Very pretty but I miss the orange 'shopping bag' paper from earlier. (Post eight)
Are you doing this digitally with a tablet? I'm curious about your process and software choice.

Absolutely love your style, JammyMatt. It's clean and beautiful. I'll copy you as much as I'm able to ;-)
Very nice old-style inkwork!
I love this map, I have to constantly resist not to steal the town/fortress/villages/towers icons.
Wow. This map is a real beauty. Looking forward to seeing some more of this.
