Dang, D, you're gettin pretty good at this mappin stuff. Great colors.
I'm liking it but I can't help feeling that the style you used in your biker map (can't remember the name, sorry) would suit this much better. I had already pegged that style as being close to the Magnamund maps when I first saw it and it does seem a shame that you didn't use it here.
Still, looking good, Diamond. But then I would expect nothing less from you.
Royal: I'm very sorry for your loss, your mother was a terribly attractive woman.

Nice map!
Although i like your own designs better...you always come up with such perfect continent-shapes (for my taste, anyway). Hope to see some personal projects soon
I'm trapped in Darkness,
Still I reach out for the Stars
Well, I added in the volcanoes. Not sure if I like them, but after days of screwing around with 'em, I can't find a way to do them that I like better, so for now it'll have to do.
I like the vulcanos.
If you don't like them - maybe it would help the look, if you added small spots being the craters where the lava leaks from the depths?
Perhaps with some hard edges and darker lava inside?
Just an idea, as I said I like them

Yeah, that's a good idea. The way I have them now, there are craters, but they're all too round and I blurred the edges so much you can't really tell they're there. I think I need to go back and make them more irregular in shape and sharpen up the edges.
Decided to revisit this and hopefully finish it after almost 4 years. Changes made so far:
-scrapped the gold/green text in favor of something cleaner and easier to read
-tried to make the cities/towns not so overwhelming
-added some more white to the northern areas for more snow
-added some simple coastal rings
-toned down the glow around the rivers
At this point I'm seriously considering scrapping the semi-realistic look and going for icons instead, but I think I'll finish this out. After, I may just redo the whole thing the other way.

Man, how i loved this gamebooks! I once stumbled over this thread of yours but didn't dare to desecrate this "place of peace" So glad you evoked it. The changes are a real improvement imo, and it really seems worth to continue working on the map. So good!
