Default Feb / Mar 2015 Lite Challenge: Dungeon Tile Set

So this will be a continuation of the project I started here: http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...ad.php?t=28514 This is where I am right now:

The ones in the red box are the new ones for this challenge, the green box is what I intend to fill before making the mould and will also be new for this challenge. I do have the mould rubber sitting here waiting to be used so am pretty eager to carry this project forward. Also have some really nice plaster that should be perfect for this use, very detailed and hard.

That is supposed to be a floor hatch and a stone drain cover if you are wondering. Thinking the floor hatch needs a pull ring or something to read correctly though.

I keep switching my mind between taking pictures of each finished element and stitching them together to form a dungeon or just casting enough pieces, making a dungeon and taking a picture of the entirety. To do that though the camera would need to be far away and zoomed in to reduce distortion, so I'm thinking of sticking with the first way for now.

If anyone needs tile ideas, I raided mine from Dwarf Fortress for a good foundation.

Hi Falconius, I think you might need to fix (or have a CL fix) the title of your thread. I'm not sure if it matters, but it's not titled correctly for the Challenge.

Meanwhile, sounds like a great project

It ends today! Whoops I still thought I had a bit. So rushing...

I made the mold last night and cast some pieces this morning, some air bubbles but not too bad. Here are the entry tiles:

I'm not too sure what happened with the lighting there. Unfortunately I didn't have time to build a jig to hold the camera so I hand held it and I might need to do it at night so I don't get such big changes in light. The two "tiles" tiles are actually supposed to indicate trap triggers, but I think it turned out too subtle. They each have a tile that is higher than the rest, but top down it's very difficult to tell.

Today?! Oh crap, I thought it was the 15th!

EDIT: I just checked. It's the 14th, so we have one more day.

Yeah, I read 13 on the desktop here and my brain still insisted 14, still I won't have time to work on it myself though so it was good for me to rush.
