Map La Vallée des Lucioles - Legend of the Five Rings

The map of "La Vallée des Lucioles". It's a personal work for my tabletop rpg group.
Like the other maps, the line is handmade, with ink and the color with Photoshop.

Another great piece, Akae! You really manage pull off the heavy textured look with ease on these pieces!

Only slight crit I would have is that some of the forests (that don't really get any of the heavier texturing) look a little flat e.g. to the right of number 1, and a bit more linework here I think would look better. That is really nitpicking though and it's a great piece all round!

You have the cliff thing down! another beauty. Think the translucent box is a little tight at the bottom. Also the type in the dots, maybe slightly smaller to give it a little room to breath inside the circle? The greens are really nice palette. Thanks for sharing, always look forward to your maps.

Thanks for your advice Snodsy and GLS. For the texture of the forests, I admit it's for go faster ^^

Nice work with this. I love how you've created the sense of height with the cliffs and rocky outcrops, and how they give the terrain a lumpy, bumpy feel. Maybe more of the buildings could have done with some shadows to give the same sense of height? They seem a little flat in comparison. I'm nitpicking though. It's a fantastic map!

I love your particular style, particularly the color palette and way of representing the topography. Awesome work again, Akae.
