Guild City - The Hustleflow Ward [Section 53]

I have finally done this. I was working like crazy on it for past couple days and now that is finished i am really reaaly tired. I think i will take a break from drawing for a couple days to clear my head.

It took me long to think of somethig interesting for my district, but slowly with help of others i could pice together an interesting ward... i think. You can read a bit of history of it in the map.

I used Mouse texture for this one. I told you i will Mouse, and here you go . It's used for the paper in the map

I also used a Dragon Wally illustration concept by Chashio. If i am not mistaken, we were talking about placing him somewhere in the map to find it, like Wally. I abadoned the idea, but still used it in the map as bigger dragon... It's still a City mascot

I wanted to thank everyone who helped me in my WIP thread. You gave me awesome ideas that allowed me to move forward faster.

This a such a damn fine piece of work, Voolf. I'm amazed how it all seemed to come together so quickly and so beautifully, so you've definitely earned that rest!

Love the way you've framed it too and snuck in Wally.

The only critique I have, and it's not even about the map, is about the font for your info insets, which I don't think quite works. The bold starting letters look fine, but it's just the main body of text that I think could be improved. I should point out that this could all just be me, as I don't really like these sort of pseudo-hand drawn type fonts! But if anyone else does comment on it, I think it'll be a quick change to something a bit less quirky could make a great difference.

Also, I really didn't want to find anything to point on here, as there's just so much to admire from this stunning piece. Great work Voolf and rep will be coming your way if I can!

Its just beautiful, Voolf. You should be really proud - and I love the way you incorporated Chashio's dragon (yes it is Chashio's)

My new hero! this is outstanding and so inspirational. Love the river police badge too. The type and treatment compliment the overall piece. Sweet dragon too. #8 label is a little off center. The roads dirty pathways are really well done and give the feel of being lived in. Great, awesome, spectacular job!!

I don't know how many times I've said this when referring to your work on this site, but WOW Voolf. There is truly a lot to admire about this map.

The cleanliness of the linework and shadowing, the vivid textures on the grass, trees, dirt, water, and tiny roof tiles (which I especially love), the history added for immersion, and the overall layout/design of the ward itself. This is an outstanding map.

And I gotta say, the name just rolls off the tongue so well.

I'm going to rep you as soon as possible, which is unfortunately not at this moment!
