    Default The Western Realms

A black and white map made to test out a new (to me) method of doing forests. I was pretty pleased with how they turned out. Still not perfect by any means, but it does convey the general look I was after.

The monoliths at the edge of the desert were made by Schwarzkreuz. The fonts are Kallamar and Treasure Map Deadhand.

Thanks for looking, and enjoy your day!

Oh D! Now look what you've gone and done!

Its too good not to rep, but that means I'm going to have to race around like a headless chicken repping another 10 people (who won't get repped unless they deserve it btw), before I can rep your equally perfect Challenge map on voting day! LOL!

Wow, this is a beautiful map! How long did it take you to draw it?

Hmm, probably about 8 hours, over 3 days.

YOu don't want to get in on this, the interest rates are hellish.

Very nice lineart all around, and I like that you've worked in different shades of black, white and grey. The pattern you'ved used to fill the border is also rather neat.

It is interesting to see how your mountains stand out well in black and white and as always your coast line is admirable! I have always loved your imagination with regard to coasts
But I must confess that I am less convinced by the forests, because of black and white. Undoubtedly in colors, they would stand out very well, however ...

Excellent map, with your unmissable style . The B&W make obvious your fine line work, but I kinda wonder how it would look with one of those old parchment background of yours and a few touch of colors here and there.

    Spiffin' map! I love this.
It's very Diamond-esque (a good thing) and really looks like it would be for a novel.
    The forests work great!
Did you hand draw those wavelines? They look so perfect.
There's something about detailed B&W maps like this that I really love. Most definitely rep worthy1
