Progressing really fast with this one
Its looking good, but...
Sigh.
Really sorry about this, Tilt, but I got that weird 'this is a lump... no it isn't, its a hole... no... its a lump.... Hole! Lump! Hole!' thing going on in my head. I think its the angle of the light, or maybe that there is apparently a sun down there casting shadows in a very particular direction.
Maybe just a general darkness around the edges of the floor instead? Less intense closer to the light sources?
I dunno...

Better, but I still think you may need the same depth of shadow all the way around the interior?

I thought about making it all the way round... sort of top-down-perspective... easier to look from just one angle of course. And maybe I'll make those walls taller.

Oh its not easy. I just nearly wet myself laughing at my own attempt to make a demo postage stamp of what I meant! LOL!

Hey tilt, agree with Mouse, you could try to just put an inner shadow on the floor (all around) and perhaps emboss the background, just to try... And welcome to the challenge !
