    Default The Sarquin Desert

I finally have a map that is as finished as my perfectionist brain is going to let it be to post here! I'm happy with how it turned out, though I wish I'd done something else with some of the tribal symbols.

Thanks for all the support so far on the guild, guys! I'm gonna keep trying to improve my maps.

Oh, that's really neat! The color sets the tone instantly, and is then reinforced by the choice of mountain icons, font, and tribal symbols (which I like, by the way). Have some rep!

This map has an incredible aesthetic, and the color choices really lend themselves to the desert theme.
    Excited to see more!

Thanks! I was trying to steer clear of the traditional "Western Medieval European" setting, and I think the icos definitely helped. I did rush a few of the tribal symbols, but I liked how the Black Palms and the Rust Hounds turned out.

I was thinking about going a traditional route of tan/beige/yellowish for the background, but liked the vibrant reddish oramge more. I tried to find a good way to differentiate the Red Sand Sea from the rest but oh well!

    I love the orange!

(but I'm very attracted to bright colours )

There's something refreshingly 'new' about this style. I like the way you've stuck with bold and simple symbols.

    Well drawn

Thanks Mouse! I usually go for pretty muted colors so this was a bit odd for me

I was trying to go for a painterly style, maybe make the desert seem more savage and dangerous
