This is nearing completion. Hopefully I can get all of the elements in place and allow a few days for any minor adjustments. As for the country fonts - I sort of agree. I wanted something different but I don't think it pays to mix serifs and sans serifs does it?

    Anyway...

This is looking fantastic Straf. Without a doubt it'll get a vote from me.

Just one thing (and I hesitate to mention it because I am slightly colour blind, and so will defer to anyone else's opinion); The colour definition between Cudonia and Iarfaan is a lot clearer than that between Cudonia and Afrania. In my eyes, I can't make out clearly where the border runs.

I've added the last pieces to the map and I'm now calling it finished, barring a few bits of tidying up as I come across them. Or if anyone points out any glaring errors or anything. I've even changed the colour for you Tonquani, is that better?

Yep, that's perfect, my defective eyes now see three countries rather than two

And the text for the countries names is also now much better !!!

Hey Straf! I simply had to drop a by and add my name to your growing list of admirers. I really love your map! Love the detail level and all the fun data bits crammed into every nook and cranny. Truly, truly well done, sir, and a gorgeous map indeed. Thank you for letting us all experience it's creation process.

    Thanks MB

Thanks for all the comments throughout guys. It's been a fun challenge overall with some frustrations overcome and I've discovered that a lot of things I needed to follow instructions for are now sort of baseline tasks.

I have left it alone for a few days but I knew there was at least one thing to correct so I've corrected it. I've also added a few more labels and a few finishing touches that I hope have improved rather than deteriorated the overall composition. This, I believe, will be my final version:
