Trying to develop a town and city map style similar to my other maps.

I've been trying to develop a style of town and city mapping that looks like my other maps but is detailed enough to show important streets and buildings when necessary



these are sketches and tests and the bottom right corner is a crop of one of my other maps with the style i'm trying to maintain.

It is difficult, but I am trying to strike a balance between readable useful information and my non realistic style. This is something I feel comfortable doing in my regional sized maps but still working on town and city maps.

I definitively like this style, it reminds me of the map style in socialist countries like Russia and GDR in the seventies and early eighties
