Default The Nine Towers of Edemora

This map was entered for the October 2018 Challenge. It's mostly a practice piece to get used to drawing and painting again after a long hiatus.

Medium is cold press watercolor paper, with Liquitex Ink! used with dip pens for all of the linework, some leftover acrylics from a really horrible paint-by-number for the colors in the border, and watercolors everywhere else.

I had originally gone in with the plan of working in all of the photos in the challenge, but in the end only about half of them made it in.

Very nice, I'm always super impressed with people who actually paint physically. Digital makes it so much easier to correct mistakes or change things, with actual paint you really need to commit!

I don't personally like the dots around the coast though, it's quite distracting. But I love the watercolour sea.

Thanks for the feedback Robulous! I'm not too sure about the stippling there either. But like you said, once you start with paper you commit
