My thoughts exactly, that sounds like a great idea! I think it would be a superb addition to this.

Oh, and loving those cliffs too!

As often, I second Kellerica there : water transparency showing unterwater terrain would be absolutely stunning ^^

Thanks ladies!! I've been experimenting a bit with those transparant/translucent seas, but the effect was far from great. In places where the land drops into the sea at right angles it's easy enough, but where the transition is more gradual (as in most of my coastlines) there's hardly any shape or form that I can use to base my linework on. So for now: no transparent seas! But maybe in a future update . I did however indicate depth with a deeper shade of blue, AND I worked in some coastal waves too.

Ooh, and a grid! There's a grid for navigation purposes now!

You're really too kind JO. I'm basically reinventing everything I did with this map, but luckily it seems to be working!

Really interesting concept map. Your linedraw style is growing better and better, as your coloring skills. I'll certainly keep an eye on this thread.

This is really good Caenwyr, but I don't understand the grid on the sea ?

Really, really top-notch. The colors are great, the perspective is cool and unusual, and I want MOAR!

Hah, neither do I Tenia! Well, I sorta do. The idea is for this map to serve as a navigational aid for merchant ships, so the grid might be some sort of latitude/longitude tool? Maybe? I just threw it in because it helped display the perspective, but if you guys feel that it should go, don't hesitate and let me know!

Okay, so this project is going on hold for a little while. I got selected for a commission, so obviously that's where all my attention will be for the coming weeks. But if you have any suggestions on this one, feel free to keep 'em coming!
