    Default Challenge Map 2019: Chêne

    Hello everyone,

This was my map for the recent commission a guildmember challenge, where I was honored to collaborate with the talented MistyBeee.

Beee commissioned me to draw a town from her own world based on some basic descriptions about the setting, with some details regarding what you might find in the town, but nothing to specific. This is the result.

This was drawn by hand with fineliners on about three different A3 papers that were later edited together and colored in Photoshop.

    Cheers,
    Karl

This is just incredible, Karl! I love the general feeling from afar, and the many details to look at more closely.

As already mentioned: this map is beautiful! I particularly like the differentiated treatment of shadows between the buildings, where they are more strongly supported, and the decor where they remain very light!
    Congratulations!

This is a beautiful map Karl and just the size you are talking about is humbling ! I especially love how you described the terrain curves with subtle points and the life you brought to it with the cattle and people. Great job !
