Looks great. I especially like your forests.

My one suggestion is that it would look even better if the region borders were a little more crisp. Wherever they are following a geographic feature like a coastline or a river, or they fall exactly along another region's border, it would be nice to see the colored line follow that feature more exactly and with a consistent width. This is where some of the digital tools are really helpful! You could also make the solid border lines transparent (but higher opacity than the interior color) so that whatever feature they follow shows through.
