Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

What a huge map - and what an imagination! I really like it - this is the sort of map that makes me wonder over far possibilities - and it's also sort of sad. Makes me glad I'm living on earth ;D
Thank you, MMM I'm glad you like it - even if there is a note of sadness about the fate of the characters. (If it helps, they do eventually get home... kind of )
Very impressive map. You did a good job of creating the illusion the globes are at different distances from the viewer. I like the way your achieved the concave effect on surface of the primary globe.
Thanks Jay the illusion of distance is a lot easier than people generally think it is. Perspective, overlapping objects, shading... there are a few rules of thumb and that is all. The concave effect was done by shading an otherwise flat area with two layers of black set to overlay or multiply - same principle as any other shading
