The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.

Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

I drew this map for an Aces & Eights old west RPG game I'm running with friends. I opted for a kind of old paper style to give it some age and because I think it looks nice.

Lots of nice details! The waterfall and mesa effects are especially nice touches; mountains turned out perfectly as well!

Thanks man. I'm still struggling a bit to learn how to use this site but glad you liked it.
After I uploaded the map I started realising some mistakes and I was like "how didn't I see that". For example, the right side of my mountains, close to bonnie springs, makes a flat weird line with the vegetation, or some rivers just arising from the desert .
But I'm happy with the final result. There's not much american old west maps out there so I just had to bring what was in my head to the paper and the guys that are playing the rpg with me just loved it so I think the mission was accomplished.
