Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

Caverns - The caverns are my least favorite of the maps as I do not feel it adequately shows the elevation changes, but it gets the job done I suppose.
I've seen the original map. It does show the elevations clearer, but it is a bit of a jumble. I don't think it would be possible to make it much clearer than your map without doing something like adding contour lines...or maybe colour coding to represent height.
It worked and actually ran pretty smooth...converting from the 3D map was a pain but in the end everything worked out. I think this was actually the first copy as the final had a break away bridge over the chasm and closed up the doors to the tunnels near the main caverns...
