A Sketchy Endeavor

This is a piece I have been working on (and off again) for the past couple of months. I used to draw a lot but this is my first fore into doing a more hand-drawn digital map. I think I've avoided it because I thought you needed a tablet to do good work. Turns out that you can draw and paint with a mouse.

Cheers,
-Arsheesh

What are the next steps you have planned for this map?

Well actually I haven't worked on this for some time. I added a border to it, but then life and school got really busy and it sort of just slid off my plate. I don't know if I'll return to it or not, but if I do, I will likely create city and town icons and add a title.

Now that you say that I realize that this was from 2012. Just looking at this map makes me think about where towns cities roads and political regions might be. I wish I had a copy of this that I could play with. If only I had your crazy skills to makes such a beautiful map.

Well if you would like to use this map for your own non-commercial purposes feel free to do so. I don't have any current plans for it. There are some good tutorials here at the Guild for guiding people through how to create hand drawn map elements so the map could offer you a chance to practice honing your skills.

I pulled an attachment.php from the image shown, and have started playing with ideas on migration and settlement planning.
I'll have to read the tutorials, to see how to show you some progress and make sure you approve, as well as to learn the more advanced features you mention.

Great! Glad to here it. BTW, you already have my approval to use the piece for practice, or for any non-commercial purpose, just make sure that if you post it online someplace that you mention me as the original artist.
