Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

Great map, Max (as usual). Could you do me a favour and tell me what font you used here? I'm looking for a decent font for my lite challenge map, and I think this one would suit my entry. THW
Sure, fonts used here are Telegdi and Chapbook. good luck with the lite challenge!
Thanks mate.
You're welcome
Love the style and layout. Good food for thought here.
Thank you!
If I haven't said it before, I'm saying it now, This is AWESOME! I love the 3-in-1 design. Great color choices.
I can imagine you drew each mountain and tree separately. Do you have any pointers for me on how to draw those particular items? I'd say my map has a similar ancient, although detailed (assuming I can ever get this kind of detail) map, and the way the mountains and trees look is what I'm looking for, but can't figure out how to create the symbol. (I'm using Inkscape and Gimp. I'm not sure what software you used here, but I would appreciate any help. Thank you and awesome work on this map, Max!)
Thank you. I'm using Photoshop, drawing the stuff with a digital tablet. Actually, even if you don't have one, you can simply draw the material you want with pen and paper, then scan them, import in GIMp and turn them into brushes.
