I've just downloaded two of your tutorials, and they're awesome. I'll be sure to credit you if I make something good out of them. Thanks!
  2. Greetings jezelf, I was working on a tutorial you created a few months ago, I really enjoyed that tutorial, but unfortunately due to some personal problems I wasn't able to complete it. When everything was settled and I came looking for it I couldn't find it, I was just curious if you'd be so kind to perhaps allow me to obtain it, or re-direct me to the tutorial if you've moved it. I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello jezelf, I was wondering if you could provide some help for me. On creating an alpha map, I'm kinda confused on doing the rivers. (I'm doing the from sketch tutorial)
For step 2.4, am I supposed to erase away from the mainland layer to get the river or am I supposed to do something else? Are the little squigly lines you copied and pasted just templates for where the rivers travel? Sorry if this isn't specific enough. Thanks for the help.
  4. 1: choose the colours you want for the land on your map
2: Select the areas you want the colours to be on (in this case it is the land) -using the alpha (black and white) map in the channel tab
3: Create a new layer and draw and sketch the areas where colour will be - this can be sketchy as in my 2 screen grabs http://www.jezelf.co.uk/tutorials_map04.htm "Heres steps 1.6 - 1.8: "
4: You should still have your selection (2) , if not re-select the land area. Blur the areas you just sketched ( Filter>Blur>Guassian Blur ) The level you blur is up to you.
5: For the sea, I still had my selection (if you do not, re select as in 2) and invert the selection (select invert).
6: pick a colour for the edge of the sea - e.g: dark blue.
7: Edit >Stroke> use a thickness you like. I would try something and if I didnt like it, I would undo and try another value.
8: use eraser, delete any lines along the edge of the map
9: Blur the sea outline as shown.
  5. Hello jezself,

In that way i must blur the level (step 1.? and what type of level i must blur?? Can you send me any explanation or explanation image? I use photoshop CS2 and my e-mail is 'Silver-Arrow@hotmail.it'.
