The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.

Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

Biography:: I grew up in Tucson, AZ skateboarding the downtown streets, playing psychedelic industrial music with my friends (drums, synth, guitar, bass, effects), (sort of) going to high school at Project M.O.R.E., avoiding work and having a Real Good Time. I left in 93 to spend a few years backpacking around the US. I settled in Eau Claire WI where I lived for 12 years. -- I still like to play around with music. Currently my studio consists of 2 Vestax PDX2000 turntables, 1 Numark EM-260 mixer with built in KAOSS pad effects unit, 1 KORG Wavedrum drumsynth unit, 1 "Indamixx" (MSI Wind) Netbook with various music production and recording software loaded, one AKAI MPK25 MIDI controller, and, of course, an ever-expanding collection of vinyl records. I produce visual art as well. Media including paper, ink, paint, canvas, stickers, screen print and collage.
