Default Wrong kind of campaign map

I was bogged down with my fantasy continent, trying to find a way to indicate the lands of the dark side. Whatever I tried either looked ugly, obscured the terrain, or looked about as sinister as an area code map. So I decided to change the color and style of the whole thing, and see where it took me. An hour or two later I ended up with this:

Not sure what it's supposed to represent but it looks pretty good. I'm guessing that the planes fly into the wall then the land folds over and crushes 'em flat. A giant Venus flytrap island - pretty sinister. Just foolin' with ya.

The wall started out as an attempt at a calligraphic stroke, but it looked much more like a wall. A metaphorical wall, indicating enemy lines or something like that. Anyway instead of looking like an ancient scroll, the map looked more to me like a WWII era animation. So I changed the remaining boundaries into a counterattack.
