Welcome to the guild!
You have an interesting nick there.
"Piri-piri" is a very hot pepper from Africa and "Reis" means "Trip" in Dutch
I introduce my self: I'm Italian, and I live in Naples, a strange city, so forgive me if I don't speak English very well. I love to draw maps, and I want to improve my ability, so I'm here. Happy to be with you .

Greetings and welcome!
Piri Reis was a Turkish sea captain and cartographer, I guess that's where you got your nick.
Ah, I never Googled his nick, just looked at the two different parts I recognized.
Awesome avatar by the way Ghostman!

Great to have such a magnificent cartographer with us!
Yarr, I've been to Naples once. Welcome aboard. Looking forward to see your maps!
Thank you all! However I didn't know the meaning of the name as Gandwarf explained it, but is very intersting As Ghostman said, I only knew that Piri Reis was a Turkish sea captain and a cartographer, and that there is an anachronistic map of Antarctic that maybe can be attribute to him. And I repeat it: forgive my english!
