I have written a tutorial on my site (that includes downloads) on how to in Photoshop.
    The effect looks like:

The download is at the very bottom of the post. If you download please leave a comment saying thank you on the site!

I have to say I'm quite impressed! Thanks for sharing! I'll be sure to give credit when I try this on my current map.

Some parts of the tutorial are still available from the Internet Archive:

Could a moderator please disable the link in the original post? It appears to have been hijacked -- it goes through a series of redirects to apparently random sites.

When looking at it in Opera Mobile on my tablet, I got trapped on a page on the dodgy site "browser-update.com-3.mobi" claiming that my browser was "out of date" and that I must upgrade immediately to correct "security vulnerabilities." It even helpfully popped up a JavaScript alert box which prevented me from closing the tab without clicking anything. Furthermore, closing the browser and restarting did not help, because it just opens up the tabs you had opened before closing it, whereupon I was instantly trapped again.

In order to escape the loop I had to force quit the browser, then use the Android control panel to clear all data associated with the app. That wiped out my settings and browsing history, but at least I'm not trapped any more.

Yikes. Did you report the post? That's the only way to be sure that a mod will definitely see that there's a problem. I went ahead and did it too, just in case.

No, I didn't -- thanks for reporting it. For future reference, how do you report a post?
