Building my world map for a new game. It took me months of videos, books, and research just to get started but I'm building what will be a massive undertaking. This map will contain 20 different geographic regions each of which will need unique styles and icons to depict the landscape. In all likelihood I'll do a first sketch and prototype, but still need a more experienced hand to make the final version. If you know anyone skilled at making highly detailed and fairly realistic world maps I'd love to meet them!

Here is the grid plan for the various regions (different colors = different biomes)

And here is the first sketch. Each box represents an 80mm x 80mm square tile on the world map, over 250+ tiles in total.

I added some samples of "finished" colored regions some with cities, paths, rivers, etc. in an album but I quickly hit my size limit.

Right now I could really use some tips or good examples for the Savanah region I'm working on next. Any thoughts?
