    Wip Psuedo-WIP (And first creation)

Salutations everyone, found the forums, and I thought I'd try my hand at map making.

After horribly botching a couple tutorials by Ascension and RobA, I
finally managed to get something made. It's not done, not yet, but I
thought I'd share my current progress.

    To Do:

Redo the ocean floor, giving it a more detailed elevation map.
Redo the rivers, because I suck at them >.>
Expand the map, revealing the other 2/3 of the world
Lattitude and Longitude lines, compass, etc.
Stop using the airbrush to play "Sink the continents"

So there we have it, I hope you enjoy my humble beginnings,
and any suggestions would be surely welcome!

PS: Ascension, thank you so much for the color info in your Atlas
tutorial. Colorblindness sucks when you're trying to map!

    Welcome Aboard!

Not to bad for a 'first attempt' - though you do have some "river violations"...

Rivers don't generally split as the approach the sea/coast/etc. If they do it is only for a short time or for a delta of some sort at the mouth. Try thinking of a river system as a tree with the 'branches' starting at higher elevations and merging to become the 'trunk'.

Keep at it and you'll be a "happy mapper" in not time
