Default Terror War graphics re-design (map and counters)

I found this game as a free download on Consimworld, and wanted to redo the map. I was inspired by the wire diagrams and old-school video games from the late 90's. Here is some examples of what the game looks like now, in its dowloadable form.

It looks interesting How does it play? This is meant as a board game, right?

I've pushed around the counters a bit but havent actually played the game myself. Its a board war-game, with some rather involved rules. The counters have been rather finicky to build. But the map was pure fun to make!

Looks nice, but I have two suggestions:

    1) Continue borders until they hit the map's edge, even for nations not "in" the game. The original does this too, and ti just looks unnatural the way it is now. Perhaps using a less bright color for those borders differentiates them well from the nations that are playable territotries.

    2) Use a darker color for the seas. I think this will make the map much easier to "read", right now my eyes have trouble fixing on land vs water.
