    Default Yotvingian Country Map

Hi I'm from East-North side of Poland were in middle ages used to live brave and orginal Baltic Tribes called Yotings. They were pagans, belived in power of nature. Saint Oaks and forest were like god for them. They had many protectors like Perkun (thunder keeper) and Lamia (water lady). Noble people of yotva lived in wooden castles Others in villages. They were very clever fighters similiar to Spartans in my opinion. Country of Sudovia was the land existing from about VII to XII Century till massive attack of Christians (those with black cross and Poles) which finally (after few centuries of resistance) made them run. They Great leader called Skomand died in battlefield with last few fighters
Archeologists are still finding new hometowns of them but there is no map with details of that culture. Maybe Christians don't want them back (I belive sons of Yotvings are still alive and I want to make such a map) I do not know anything about cartography but a lot of about Yotvings history, and some about graphics. Will anybody help me start working?

Hi tomo, welcome to the guild. Great idea for a map you have there. If you do know something about graphics, why not learn about cartography - there are lots of great tutorials in here - browse through them, pick one you like and try your hand at making your own maps

I am trying to trace the pre-Christian Invasion history of Latvian/Lithuanian/Sudovian(Yotvingian)/Old Prussian regions. I believe that Yadava community of India may have something to do with the Yotvings. But we cannot just come to any deduction/conclusion with the help of similarities in names.

I believe that there was some close relationship between the North Indian Vedic Culture and the Latvian/Lithuanian/Sudovian/Old Prussian (pre-Christian Invasion period i.e. 1st Century AD to 12th Century A.D.). The history pertaining to the period might have been hidden/obliterated by the Christian invaders. We cannot progress in this respect unless the pagan history is traced out. I could trace some sort of history in Polish language by making a Google Search. Link:
