The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

My (belated) castle
So I worked on it this weekend and, at least, finished the first floor (but not the outer towers). I'm going to keep on working on it (the other floors) until I burn out. I feel pretty good so burnout doesn't seem too imminent and work finally slowed down to the point of allowing me free time once again...oh, and I got bored with Civ 5, too. Mainly, though, I think it's the weather...I hate hot weather. Anyway have a gander at it and pay no attention to some of the text that seems to floating around outside the edges - those are reminders for me to put those places in on other levels.
