    Default Vadströmma

Not much maping for me lately (working on your house really makes your time dissapear). but I had some time over tonight and decided to give City Designer 3 a test, especially I wanted to try out the ne B&W style that came with this months annual. So this is what I accomplished in two hours tonight. Mostly done in CD3 but some tweaking with lights in photoshop.

And yes I probably should have put in a harbor or something...but i forgot.

Looks nice to me, man, wharves or no wharves.

I think it looks awesome for a couple hours of work. After all the time I spent doing this manually in one of the challenges it makes me not ever want to touch another town. I probably will eventually but I'm going to need a bit of motivation before I go there again

Thanks for the comments. And I must say that CD3 is a blast. I've done some testing with the automated housebuilding where you just mark a road and the program puts in all the houses for you. I must say that the result spurised me in a positive way. I wish I'd had a program like this when I playd RPG's eons ago.
And Jaxilon I know how you feel, will I ever be able to go back to my Ankh-Bathor citymap after this :-)

    CD3 is a blast indeed
I like the result you posted earlier. Like several people said before, not every town near the water needs wharves.
Check out my City Designer 3 tutorials. See my fantasy (city) maps in this thread.

Gwandarf - Yes I know it really is a blast :-)

Redrobes - Thanks, I probably try to map some more towns with it, putting the Ankh-Bathor city map a bit on the halt. Always nice to do some maping where you get things done easy, instead of neading to invent the techniques while mapping. You can say that this test map made me want to do more towns :-)
