yah, my vote went to diamond as well.
Thanks for the competition!
I voted for Rythal; love the muted, rich look of those colors.
Well, this was a tough one for me again.
1) Diamond - I think you hit the nail on the head in chronicling a journey. The map is great, a bit clean around the edges maybe. For some reason it looks like it was stuck to the side of one of my old lunch sacks though.
2) Rythal - I love the richness of this map. It's almost like having too much rich desert where you start to feel ill. You have the basic points for the story although it seems a bit vague unless there are not a lot of major events in the story. Most beautiful of the entries hands down. You may suffer from my not having ever heard of the story you chose as well (sorry about that).
3) Tilt - Fully covered the story and was cool to see you use your tablet but I'm going to go for one of the other two entries mainly because they are more map-ish.
So, in the end, it comes down to Diamond and Rythal and my grades are as follows.
Diamond: 1st place meeting the challenge guidelines, 2nd place for map image
Rythal : 2nd place meeting the challenge guidelines, 1st place for map image
In the end I have to make a judgement on what is more important and seeing that this is a challenge contest I have to give the win to Diamond's entry. So it's Diamond by a nose.
Once again it's good to see so many good entries in our challenges! Well done all three of you.

Congratulations Diamond on your well-deserved victory! I'll have a silver compass for you as soon as I can figure out how to do it.
