    Default A steampunk too far?

I just found this whilst searching for steampunk gubbins...

I can't decide if this is awesome or crazy.

    Whatever, it looks real cool.

I've seen this before. It looks pretty neat, but it'd get pretty annoying having to "wind" up the laptop to turn it on.

I've seen a few dozen of these case mods in the steampunk style. I've always considered them to be made by guys too creative for their own good, you know, the guy who can't hold a job but can make a mini-putt golf course out of stuff laying around the garage. Sort of misspent energy. They're cool and they could make money if they wanted but these are the same guys who don't care about money - they do it to prove that they can, and in two years when they get a new pc they don't even think about it again. But if there were a store where I could buy one I probably would. I saw one a few years back where some dude made his into a Transformer...car (not full size) to pc.

Wow that guy is quite a crafter - he's got some really cool things there.
