Map The West - Updated and Labeled

    Hey there,

This is an updated version of the map that I and others have been working on for years really.

This one I did (save the volcano/lake/river of fire in the lower right corner, total credit to Coyotemax on those!) using a mix of brushes (Wag's and StarRaven's) as well as the techniques from Ascensions "Antique" tutorial... obviously I didn't follow it to the letter, but over all I think it works

I would uploaded it here, but it is just too darn big!

    Cheers!

P.S. I should also mention that the labeling is based on techniques I learned from here and specifically from Coyotemax in our various projects!

    Lovely map, Aslan. Well done.

That's beautiful work. That inner shadow on the ocean labeling works very well.

3000 x 3000 is fine it's the megabytes. To get around that, when you "save as jpeg" in PS you will see a slider that goes from 1 to 12...that's the image quality slider. Move that down to 11 then 10, sometimes 9 is needed to get those megabytes down...got to be like 4.7 megabytes. The actual quality lost can't really be seen until you get down to like 6. Nearly every map I do is uploaded at 10 or 11 and a few have been 9s.
If the radiance of a thousand suns was to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...I am become Death, the Shatterer of worlds.
