Looks pretty cool. I like the mountain style/texture, but the color looks weird with the rest of the map. That's my only nitpick.

Thanks for the feedback, Gidde. I will remove the coloured border.

A little bit more detail - seals of four different orders which are the subdivisions of the Empire.

I feel this map is still missing something. I'm open for good ideas?

Hmm, that's pretty cool. The buttons pop a lot more than the map. It kind of looks like the ocean is empty of water though for some reason. My impressions are almost always odd so take them for whatever you want. Perhaps the water needs some texture?

    That compass is wicked cool!

    Thanks, Jax.
I was trying a different approach for the the oceans this time. The compass is from a compass pack, you can find it in the 'Mapping Elements' section.

My thought is that the color range (apart from the graphical things) is rather flat, not dynamic. The land has 2 colors, greenish/yellow and yellowish/green. The ocean has grayish/blue and greenish/blue for the depths (that seems kind of backward as shallows are usually greenish/blue). There are no real darker spots or lighter spots - it all seems the same tone. That's what I see, shrug, so take that as you will. I'd try to add some contrast with light spots and dark spots. When I've got a flat muddy map I just make some colorful clouds and mess with blend modes just to liven things up and give me new ideas.

What Ascension said is true too. Also, regarding the oceans I think the texture is great in the shallow areas. I'm more looking at the deeper waters as to me they seem like they don't have water in them or something...I suck at explaining things sometimes.

Good map so far, S. The ocean seems to have more depth than the mountains that looks strange IMO.
