Hey all, I suppose this is the place to be for someone who loves to make maps. I mostly do them for my book series (I've used Campaign Cartographer once, but I don't have the patience to keep relearning it, so now I just use photoshop). I love retooling old city maps for my own use also, but it's time consuming. Anyway, I'm here to hopefully learn some new tricks and maybe share some of the things I've picked up along the way.

Yeah, as long as it doesn't break any rules. I read somewhere on here not to post derivative works? The main map I did that turned out the best was from an 1800s or early 1900s map of Melbourne. It took me like 4 hours to clear all the stuff off and get it ready for adding my own stuff, but I also saved a version of just the plain map so if anyone wants it for rpg campaigning or whatever, just PM me or something.
And thanks for all the welcomes!
If it's from the early 1900s or older, most likely the copyright has run out and it's in the public domain. Worth checking first (different countries have different copyright lengths -- iirc the US is ~75 years), but you're probably ok to post it.
