Great idea!
One of my cinema favorites has always been the Hammer horror films of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Yes, even Dracula AD 1972. I've been playing around with an idea for the last few months for an RPG setting where all of those films/stories/etc exist, a kind of pulp/horror/alternate history type of thing, so this seems like a good opportunity to start some solid work on it. So, this will be a Mediterranean-centered map where I'll try and incorporate as many of those films (or at least their settings and general ideas) as I can.
Starting out with a base map, trimmed and neatened up a bit:

Aw, widdle Denmark, you're so cute, you pillaging widdle Vikings, you!
Added some mountains, some borders. We've got a truncated HRE/large Austro-Hungarian Empire ruled by House Frankenstein, and a Kingdom of Transylvania, ruled by you-know-who, an independent Styria ruled by the Karnsteins.

Update, with an Empire of the Seven Stars ruled by Queen Kara and High Priest Kharis; a fragmented Italy (cause it just doesn't seem to be an alternate history without that), and a few interesting sites. The perceptive will recognize that I'm adding in things from other sources, not just Hammer.
